Change

So, here is where I was headed 1 year ago.

I really wish I was there right now instead of studying for exams. It's amazing how much can change in a year though. A year ago I didn't even know I was coming to Memphis for medical school, and now I have already started my second year. I've learned so much yet still know so little.

Also, in the past year I've lost my grandmother and an aunt. I've moved to a new town, gotten an apartment by myself. I've gotten back involved in a church that I love...even teaching Sunday School in my "free time."

My location has changed...my friends have changed...my "job" has changed...

I've watched people change and I've learned things about people that I would have never guessed...

And with all this change my God still remains, who was, and is, and is to come!

I pray that people see a change in me...that they see Christ in me as I strive to be like Him more each day.

I'm nostalgic for certain aspects of the past yet content with where I am and where I'm headed and remain hopeful of all God has in store for me for the future.

And this is where I'm headed now...

My prayer:

We have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strenthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. Snow Day!!

So, it snowed in Memphis yesterday, quite a bit actually. I knew there was a possibility of flurries, but doubted that we would really get much, if any. So, I went to Walmart, as planned. The closest Walmart just so happens to be in Arkansas, across the big bridge over the Mississippi river. Well, it began to snow while I was there and by the time I left my car was completely covered, as well as the roads. It wasn't that bad though, minus the fact that I couldn't read any of the road signs, until I got to the Big Bridge. Traffic came to a halt and I almost spun out when I tried to start again. But don't worry, I made it. My 15 minute drive took 45...most of the way in 2nd gear.

Duncan LOVES the snow though. We played for a while in it yesterday...and when we came in, this is what his paws looked like...

We went down to the river to play in it today but half of it was already melted at this point. The following are some videos of Duncan enjoying it and making snow angel dogs in it.

Well, I guess I should maybe study some now...since I haven't all weekend for some reason...oops.
